Introducing the Haldex.Flash MSS tuning tool and software.

As part of our product development in improving VAG drivetrain control, we are proud to present the world's first MSS AWD programming tool for the GEN 2 Audi R8 and Lamborghini Huracán.

The MSS (Modular Sports System) is the all-wheel-drive system found in all second-generation Audi R8 models as well as the Lamborghini Huracán. (*Porsche 991 911 coming soon.)

The MSS system is based on BorgWarner/Haldex Gen5 technology and operates with a hydraulic propshaft clutch. It regulates and distributes torque to the front axle using data from various vehicle sensors. The system calculates the required torque and transfers it to the clutch pack between the propshaft and the front differential via hydraulic pressure.

Our updated software enables significantly higher torque transfer through a more precisely designed control strategy. The result is faster response, improved traction, and sharper launches. In the factory configuration, the system leaves a great deal of unused potential—potential that we fully unlock.

The stock version allows a maximum of 550 Nm to be sent to the front wheels. In tuned or turbo-converted cars, this means that a large portion of the power remains on the rear axle instead of being distributed effectively.

MSS AWD Tuning adds a switchable RWD mode, allowing the car to become fully rear-wheel-drive on the fly, controlled directly through the factory drive-mode selector.

The full performance program is still in development, but the switchable RWD mode is complete and available.

During programming, the user may choose one of the factory drive modes to activate RWD mode. After that, the mode can be switched on the fly while driving.
