Nissan R35 GT-R – Perfecting the sound – ARMYTRIX

One of the most iconic creations in the automotive world, the Nissan R35 GT-R is often known for its distinctive sound. As one might expect, the stock exhaust system doesn't do justice to that unique and recognizable tone.

Together with the customer, we began searching for the right solution. Two main criteria quickly emerged: road legality and titanium. The hunt for the perfect sound naturally started at the front of the exhaust system — the downpipes. To maintain road legality, the chosen DP setup was a model from the QT Parts product line, equipped with 200 CPI catalytic converters and proper heat shielding.

Once the most important part — the first few centimeters after the turbochargers — was "opened up," we moved on to fine-tuning the character of the sound. Titanium was the customer's preferred material for several reasons. While more sound was desired, the exhaust also needed the ability to quiet down at the press of a button. At this point, attention turned to the nearly legendary brand Armytrix, which offers a model-specific, full titanium exhaust system with valve control.

During the installation, the car was also thoroughly inspected for common issues. The installation was carried out to high quality standards, just as agreed.
